The club was registered in 1985 for the sailing community of the new marine. As the club grew they added the official clubhouse in 1994 which was expanded in 1997. The premises were initially rented from the local council but were purchased in 2000 and are now owned by the club. The club caters for both sailing and power driven vessels and the main events on their calendar include the West Coast Cruise, the Great Berg River Race and the Weskus Interclub.

Directions

Take the R27 from Cape Town to Velddrif, turn left after the Carinus Bridge and you will get to the Port Owen entrance, turn left and follow the signs.
