The Calitzdorp Dam is an hour's drive from George. The entrance to the dam is at a picnic spot, on the left side of the road through a farm gate into a small nature/game reserve. Be sure to take enough water with you as there is no drinking water available.

Directions

Travelling form Oudtshoorn, drive down the main street and turn right at the cemetery on the right and Standard Bank on the left corner. Follow the road out of town until you reach the dam.
