Dam/Lake Floriskraal Dam

This large dam south-east of Laingsburg is fed by the Geelbek River from the north and the Buffels River from the south. The area is rich in fauna and flora and is a good spot for bird watching. The Buffels river runs from the north west into the Floriskraal dam and flows from the dam towards the south and after flowing through the Swartberg mountain range it's name change to Groot river. (Jan-2014).
