This Museum has great memorabilia of 'The Groot Trek' depicting the way of life back then. Hartenbos Museum is located in the cultural heartland of Afrikaans. The museum focuses on the Great Trek and houses a variety of interesting presentations and exhibition halls, tastefully arranged with attractive antiques making the living conditions of the Voortrekker pioneers from 1835 to 1848 alive visually. There is a real-life representations of the Great Trek, there is also a memorial hall of the Symbolic Trek 1938, a special presentation of a truly old-fashioned shop while Hartenbos history is also depicted here.
