The National Sea Rescue Institute has stations country wide with their Head office being in Cape Town. It is run by highly skilled volunteers. They are unpaid and on standby day and night throughout the year. The NSRI cover running costs with donations and sponsorships received. Check their site for more information on giving much needed donations or volunteering time. They also give WaterWise classes where kids are taught about CPR and what to do on an emergency.
