The Houthoop Camping Site- the site is on Steenvlei, a Dorper sheep farm.
Die Houthoop offers charming accommodation with warm hospitality. They offer breakfast and meals on arrangement. A variety of accommodation options are available as well as camping and they have an open-air restaurant called Visbeen.

Facilities for campers include an equipped kitchen and laundry, wash-up facilities and luxurious ablutions with hot water showers and flush toilets. The campsite is grassed but offers no shade. Each site has an electricity powerpoint, light and braai place.

There is an onsite open-air restaurant called Visbeen - breakfast and meals by prior arrangement. Close to the sea and centrally situated for the flower season. Also near the Richtersveld - succulents as well as Namaqua National Park. Enjoy the Kleinzee golf course, 4x4 trips and diamond mine tour.

Directions

Arriving from Johannesburg/Upington Route on the N14. Follow the main road; turn right at the Kleinzee sign (Jet Stores is on your right). Drive past ABSA Bank on your left, Matjieskloof on your right. Continue along this tar road through Kommagas.
