Ou Skip Caravan Park is 26 km North of Cape Town and within easy reach of the West Coast and wine routes. There are over 200 fairly level sites (most with electricity). Five ablution blocks with plenty of hot and cold water showers and baths, laundry service, shop and LP gas station. All sites have access to water and 15 amp power points. Blue plugs can be rented or purchased.
Laundry facilities with coin operated washing machines and tumble dryers. Chemical toilet disposal at the back of the ablution block. Braai facilities available, bring your own grid. Only one caravan per site maximum of 6 people of all ages per site.
Nice half Olympic pool plus kiddies pool, and a special holiday programme for children in December. Near Big Bay the surfing mecca in Bloubergstrand. Close to the beach on the Atlantic Coastline, but no sea view. There are rows of trees and shrubs which separate sections of the park and provide protection from the wind. Each section is served by tarred roadways. 2-3 Bar 3G signal.

“This Park has deteriorated badly over the last couple of years. The emphasis seems to have changed from welcoming tourist campers, to accommodating permanent residents. Maintenance is generally poor and security is dicey. We will not be visiting there again.” - Chris Smit, 2016/01/05
“A campsite not far from the beach. In winter time the campsite is open, but it seems to me, that most people stay there not for a holiday. The âstreetsâ of the camp are very busy in the early morning with fast driving cars, who look like people on their way to a job.” - Jan Amersfoort, 2008/09/01
