The Meerkat Magic Project is located in Oudtshoorn, in the Klein Karoo area, Western Cape Province. Grant M. Mc Ilrath is known as 'The Meerkat Man' and is also the guide for the Meerkat Magic Project. Currently over 12 years now, he has spent most of his life studying wild meerkats/suricates in the field. The Meerkat Magic Project is the only place in the world, where guests can get very close to this sub-species of the three recognised wild meerkat / suricate.
