Grootvadersbosch is near Heidelberg in the Western Cape, with 250ha of indigenous forest at the foot of the Langeberg Mountains. There are two-day hikes through the forest, a mountain bike trail and campsites. It has been a reserve since 1986 and was declared a World Heritage Site in 2004. The reserve offers a variety of birdlife.
