There are different hiking trails at Limietberg including those for walking and rock hopping, passing through the beds of a river and waterfalls. The trails ranges from moderate to difficult trails and is quite an adventure to the nature lovers. Trail has changed to a circular trail from a linear trail. A maximum of 24 people is allowed per day, and a maximum of 12 people per group. There are three hiking trails; the Elands river trail; rock hopper trail and Krom river day walk. These trail have clear signs to start the hiking with dangerous places marked. Brochures with basic information are available, safe parking and enough drinking water along the route, but hikers need to drink their own drinking water in summer as the source are unreliable. All the trail are day walks and there are no accommodation facilities along the route except at the end of the trail route. For more information contact Cape Piscatorial Society which manages the Elandspad river on behalf of Cape Nature for bookings or the Cape Nature for permits. Conservation fee ZAR40 for adults and ZAR20 for children. .
