“Lambert's Bay is fishing village on the Cape West coast founded on the farm Otterdam in 1913, proclaimed a local area under a divisional council in 1929 and administered by a village management board since 1934. It was named after Sir Robert Lambert, commander of the naval station at the Cape from 1820 to 1821.” -
