Villiersdorp is known as the 'Pearl of the Overberg region', situated within the Western cape region, just 106km, an hour's drive from Cape Town. The town was established back in 1843 and is surrounded by beautiful fruit and wine farms we known as a prosperous apple growing town. Located in a valley surrounded by a picturesque Baviaans mountains and Theewaterskloof Dam, one of the seven largest dams in South Africa. Visitors are assured of a comfortable stay in lodges, guest house and campsites for the outdoor lovers while enjoying activities like wine cellar tours, hiking, mountain bike trails, 4x4 route, golf club and museums. Villiersdorp also known for its very big/old Oak trees. Visitors love to just take a walk in the streets and kids feel safe riding their bicycles in the streets.
