A seaside resort situated with the Overberg District Municipality in Western cape province of South Africa. Named after the commander of the second caravel under Dias, Joao Infante. Situated on the banks of the Breede river. A little fishing village accessible through gravel roads, quiet and tranquil, often termed the ‘sleepy little town’. A great place for fishing, whale watching and surfing. For more information about this town visitors can contact the Swellendam Tourism as there do not have own tourism office in the town.
