A tiny farming hamlet in the Karoo, on the R323 connecting Laingsburg (N1) to Route 62 via Seweweekspoort. This beautiful valley is a hidden gem about 50km outside Laingsburg, situated at the foot of the Klein Swartberg mountains. Farming activities include peaches, pears, nectarines and apricots for the dried-fruit trade, as well as livestock and onion and carrot seed production. The drive in is a geologist’s dream as the rock formations of the Rooinek and Witnek passes, as well as Seweweekspoort, have to be seen first-hand to really be appreciated.
