Buffalo Core Area is situated on the eastern side of the Okavango in the Kavango region of Namibia. The park belongs to Bwabwata National Park which was proclaimed a National park in 2007 and has a size of 629 km² in total. There are only two main roads and some of the roads only accessible to 4x4 vehicles.
