This lodge is just above the Okavango River overlooking the floodplain, conveniently located on the small road leading down to the river from the centre of Rundu town (400m from most banks and shops). Tambuti was recently renovated and is now under new management. It is the perfect stop over before heading deeper into Kavango and Caprivi wild bush. It is also ideal for a business stop over. They also offer a small campsite facility which can not be booked beforehand.
They have eight white-washed bungalows perched in a lush garden situated above the Kavango River. They have five Premium Bungalows with queen-size beds and en-suite bathrooms and three Premium Bungalows with twin beds and en-suite bathrooms. All bungalows have satellite TV, minibars, fans, telephones, and wireless Internet connectivity. Mosquito screens are fitted on the windows and mosquito nets hang over all beds.

On the B8, turn off at the Shell Petrol Station to enter the town of Rundu. Continue straight on through the town, pass the new shopping mall on your right, until you reach a T-junction facing Omashara Lodge on Old River Road. Turn left and follow the Tambuti Lodge signboard for 200m and turn right onto a small gravel road. Tambuti Lodge is situated on the left side of this road, pass the Ministry of Forestry.

Tambuti Lodge is located in Rundu, the capital of the Kavango region. We are approximately 50 m from the river floodplain and 250 m from the Rundu town center. Tambuti is easily accessible and never flooded making it the ideal stopover before heading to the deeper Kavango and Caprivi Wild.
