Nestled under Jackalberry and Mopane tree canopies, Nambwa campsite, laid out beautifully on the banks of the Kwando River, offers you the tranquillity of nature’s bounty. Nambwa Camp in Bwabwata National Park (the former Caprivi Game Park) is on an island in the Kwando River wetlands offering overnight accommodation with opportunities to visit various sights, such as the Kwando River Monument, Strangler Fig Tree, Horseshoe Wetland and a variety of wildlife such as elephants and hippos and crocodiles. Nambwa Campsite consists out of four private campsites located on the banks of the Kwando River. Campsite 1 and 2 offers running water at site, braai Area with grid and a maximum 8 persons and maximum 4 Vehicles allowed. Campsite 3 offers running water at site, braai Area with grid, maximum 10 persons and maximum 5 Vehicles allowed, campsite 4 offers running water at site, braai Area with grid, maximum 4 persons and maximum 2 Vehicles. The dense and abundant Mangosteen, Knobthorn, Acacia and Leadwood tree canopies provide ample shade and the spacious views over the opposite wildlife rich floodplains values the viewing experience. Each campsite has a built in braai area and running water is also provided. The ablution facilities have separate shower and toilet sections. There are also facilities for doing laundry. Hot water is provided by solar powered geysers. Fire wood is also available at the reception area. (Mar-14).
