Booking

Chembe Eagles Nest lodge and campsite is on the edge of the Chembe (known as Cape McClear) village. It is a small campsite with excellent ablutions. If possible book the front site which is almost right on the beach. The beach is private as it is sheltered by rocks on the one side and fenced off from the fishing village on the other side. From here one can take boat trips to nearby islands and do snorkel diving. Even though the lodge is situated on the edge of the village you will still hear the African rhythm coming from the village until the early hours of the morning. Warm water ablutions, running water and 220V power.

Comments [ leave a comment ]

“Small campsite but a real gem with some of the other sites that have deteriorated over the past 20yrs, Chembe Eagles Nest is the top camp around. Literally on the beach, and to the side of town which means not a lot of foot traffic on the beach. We stayed 5 nights and could possibly have stayed even more - good restaurant and bar and numerous activities available - July 2023” - Henk van der Walt, 2024/02/20

“A tiny campsite is situated above the lodge upon the rocks, overlooking the lake.Ablutions are excellent. The lodge and camp is situated at the end of the village, so it is not as noisy as other sites” - Mietsie Visser, 2013/10/17
