Pomene is a town within the inhambane province in Mozambique. The town is situated halfway between the town of Inhambane and Vilanculos town. Still remote and hence the environment is still unspoilt, have beautiful sweeping beaches and crystal clear waters at the Pomene beach. Pomene is a great diving destination, fishing such as Wahoo, kingfish, tuna and other game fish. There is no fuel available at Pomene, the nearest fuel station is at Massinga situated 50km from Pomene. At Pomene view lodge there is however an air compressor to inflate the tyres and a grass runaway for small aircraft.
