Massinga is located in the Inhambane province. It is the principal town in the district.
The town is not small, there is a Shoprite which supplies everything and many smaller shops and markets. ATM’s and banks are available.
The Shoprite has a butchery inside. An independent Butchery opening end of September 2017.
There are large markets selling crafts and local goods. Can get cooldrinks and beers in town! (Jul-2017).

ACCOMMODATION:
Massinga Beach Lodge is in Massinga, which is 5 star, and there is a local Inn. Also overnight accommodation called Op die Koppie.
Massinga is close to Morrungulo which has a few lodges which are worth a visit.
The closest place for camping would be in Morrungulo which is 8km along EN1 and then 18km to the beach.

There is a government hospital in the town. Closest Netcare Hospital is in Vilancoulos. (Jul-2017).
MECHANICAL PROBLEMS:
The locals will fix mechanical problems and have a workshop.

There is no tourist info, laundromat and no tour services in town. There is no shopping centre.
