The 13 360ha sanctuary is also home to the 417ha Mushandike Dam. The sanctuary also boasts of water-dependent creatures such as the majestic waterbuck, with a variety of fish species swimming in the Mushandike dam, including tilapia, African sharp tooth catfish and black bass.
Camping sites, conference facilities, lodges, are available, and the services are offered under the Zimbabwe Institute of Wildlife Management which is located in the sanctuary. The sanctuary is located about 37km from the Ancient City, Masvingo, along Bulawayo road.(Source: The Scrivener)
