This is the border post between Namibia and Botswana, situated on the northern end of the Okavango, bordered by Namibia and Zimbabwe. There is also a ferry situated at the post. A valid passport book and vehicle papers must always accompany your car. Any goods acquired outside the country must be declared at the border gate but it is not allowed to cross the border with any uncooked meat, eggs, unprocessed milk, watermelon or oranges (fruit fly diseases). This border is no longer accepting foreign currency but has POS/Credit Card machines on site. Water and protection from the sun are advisable for the entry points with no shelter and long queues. There will be possible queues during the peak tourist season which is between July - October. For any clarifications on this matter please contact the Customs office.
