Situated in the middle of Chobe National Park the ten sites are close to the river and offer shade and braai points.
It is the only site available to the independent traveller and should be pre-booked but 'drop ins' are usually allowed to pitch on a reserve site even if none of the official sites are taken. Solar panels are used for hot water and lights.
The campsites consists of two thatched and whitewashed buildings with clean ablution blocks with toilets, hot showers and baths separate for men and women which are solar powered. No wood is for sale on the campsite itself, so bring sufficient wood for your evening campfire. Campsites are booked through Kwalata Safaris, but Park and vehicle Entry fees are still with the Department of Wildlife Botswana.
Reservations are mandatory.

“Terrible maitenance - Guys running the camps drive around in their car all day through the camp instead of keeping the maintenance up. Lovely location, great view shame about the rest. Feb - 2018” - Hielke Sportel, 2018/04/10
“Take precautions against the baboons who are habituated.” - Janine Reyneke, 2009/02/04
“This is also found at W192587 This camp site has replaced the former one at Serondella and has had two new ablution blocks built with grants from the EEC. Unfortunately the baboons have run riot and the solar heating system was in disrepair when we visited. Probably no plans to have it repaired. Good situation by the river.” - David Clack, 2009/02/03
