Ngoma is the Border point between Namibia and Botswana. Please phone ahead as opening times may vary with the change of seasons. There is little else but the border post suspended high above the river. Check with Botswana embassy or consulate for information on visa requirements. Have your passport and drivers license on hand as well as sufficient funds to facilitate your stay. There are fuel stations in Kasane about an hours drive away. Card payments are accepted. Cash in small denominations is reliable, usually USD for when card payments are not possible. Foot and Mouth check done on entry and disinfecting of shoes. For any clarifications on custom matters please contact the Customs office.

Road safety fee is valid for a full calendar year, 3rd party Insurance is for small vehicles (Buses & mini buses pay more). TIP form to be completed at the border for all vehicles registered in Namibia Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Malawi, Zambia, Zimbabwe, South Africa, Namibia and Mozambique. (Jun-2020).

TRAVELING WITH A MINOR:
Advice on travelling with minors, you will need a valid passport, valid visa if required, a Unabridged Birth Certificate with both parents names on and an affidavit from the other parent or both should the minor be travelling with one parent or with other family.
