Marsh Strand is a small residential village in the Haga Haga area, consisting of a small cluster of houses on the seaside.
There is no direct beach here, the seafront is more rocky with rock pools visible at low tide. A 20 minute walk towards Haga Haga will take you to a lovely beach, at the river mouth.

There is an ATM inside the shop in Haga Haga village. The shop sells items such as wood, ice-creams, cooldrinks, chips, sweets, magazines and other small necessities. But to stock up you would need to purchase items in East London or Beacon Bay. (Oct-14).
Liquor can be purchased at the small shop inside the Haga Haga Hotel - at the 'Beachcomber shop'. They also sell sandals, swimwear and limited fishing tackle. (Oct-14).

The nearest airport is at East London, about 40 min away.
TRAVELLING TO HAGA HAGA:
During low tide one can walk through the Haga Haga River mouth to Haga Haga. It's about a 30 min walk. Or if you have a 4WD you can drive through the river mouth, and there is a ramp on the Haga Haga side of the river close to the hotel. One can also drive around on gravel to Haga Haga and it takes about 30 minutes. (Oct-14).
