Scottburgh Caravan Park

The resort is only a 30 minutes drive south of Durban, with about 260 Caravan and Camping sites, encompassing over one kilometre of unspoilt beach front, you have one of the better resorts on the South Coast. Most sites are grassed, (with 15 amp electrical outlets), and most of the sites have sea views, Special provision been made to accommodate disabled visitors. Two fresh water swimming pools are available to residents.

Floodlights shine over the park and beach after dark, security fencing along the landward boundaries makes the resort reasonably secure, and the resort is patrolled by 24-hour security. Scottburgh has water slides, mini- golf, restaurants and shops all within walking distance of the resort. A social hall, games room, television room, fun and games are arranged during the Holiday season. The Resort also offers one of the best long term pensioner rates. Dogs are only allowed in the low season.

Take the N2 south from Durban. After about 45Km take Scottburgh turn off. Turn left. At the T-junction on old coast road (R102) turn right. First road left into Scottburgh and follow the signs.

“We are presently camping at Scottburgh for the 11th successive year and will be here till about 10 July. Things that we enjoy here: Always ample hot water available and the ablutions are kept spotlessly clean 24/7. The camp is kept clean Direct access to the beach. Good floodlights and 24 hour security patrols, provide a sense of security. Good fishing and snorkeling right at the camp. Proximity to all amenities – P&P, Woolies, Restaurants, Medical facilities etc. What we dislike: Too many stray cats in the park Dogs that run around unattended (Contrary to the rules) or are taken for a walk by their owners to do their job on someone else’s site ” - Chris Smit, 2011/06/30

“This remains one of the finest parks in KZN. Most of the sites are almost right on the beach and security is present 24/365. It must be one of the best value for money parks in the country for pensioners staying long-term. Discipline is sometimes lacking (Especially with pets), but we will return there as often as possible. Recommended.” - Chris Smit, 2011/03/22
