The Kosi Bay Nature Reserve was proclaimed in 1950 and extended in 1984, and is made up of four Lakes: Makhawulani, Mpungwini, KuNhlange and Amanzamnyama. Access to the Park is managed by Ezemvelo KZN Wildlife. The rest camp offers fifteen shady open campsites in a beautiful coastal bush setting that can accommodate up to seven guests each. Each site have cold running water, clean ablution blocks with flush toilets and showers. Gate entry is included in accommodation fees for overnight visitors.

Conservation Fee payable on arrival at entrance gate for day visitors. Guests need to obtain beach permits from Kosi Bay reception one day in advance for Kosi Mouth.
Firewood is not sold in the reserve, but can be purchased outside from the local communities.
