Booking

Jeffreys Bay is not only internationally famous for its perfect waves but also for the variety of sea shells that wash up on its beaches. The caravan park fronts directly onto the beach, so if you choose your site well, you can lie in bed and watch the dolphins go by. Between July and October, whales come into the bay.

The sites are generally level and well grassed, and each has a separate braai and electricity outlet. Shade is virtually non-existent at the sea front, but as you move higher up the gentle slope away from the sea, there are quite a few big shady trees. There is very little wind protection. The large ablution block is kept spotless. Although this is not a brand new, 5-star facility, it is more than adequate. There is a scullery, laundry and ironing room. 24 hour security and fenced.

“Jeffreys Bay became a municipality in 1968. The Jeffreys after whom it is named is variously identified as a trader, a shipwrecked ship’s captain who survived by building a hut from the wreckage, and a whaler from St Helena who opened the first commercial house there. Pick your choice.” - Chris Smit, 2023/05/16

“ Inflation has now pushed the pensioners' special to R2400 per month or R1200 for two weeks. Still a very good price Recommended.” ” - Chris Smit, 2015/02/09

“We spent 2 nights here during Feb 2012. The camp is neat with a choice of level, grassed stands, close to the sea with the beautiful views, or more sheltered with trees towards the back. There ar now two guards who patrol the camp at night. At R100 per night for two pensioners, this is goog value for money. They also have a pensioners' special of R1717 per month or R859 for two weeks. Recommended.” - Chris Smit, 2012/02/23
