Lichens Pass lies on a tarred road on the Eastern border of the Golden Gate Highlands National Park in the Free state Province of South Africa. The pass skirts the slopes of St. Pierre Mountain and is named after the lichens which grow on the cliffs in the area. There are magnificent views of the coloured sandstone cliffs and the mountains toward Lesotho.
