The Bloukrans Bridge situated along the Garden Route 40km east of Plettenberg Bay along the N2 Highway. At 216 m Bloukrans Bungi is officially recognised by Guinness World Records as being the Worlds Highest Commercial Bungi Jump. Fear is temporary, Regret is forever is the motto of Face Adrenalin the company that operates the bungi jump. Those who prefer to keep their feet on the ground, can relax and watch the jumping from the safety of The Cliffhanger Pub a licensed restaurant and bar situated in the Khoisan Village. The Pub is also handy for celebrating after the jump or to get some Dutch courage beforehand. Once you have decided to take the plunge you are secured in a full body harness. A walk along a specially designed catwalk - suspended beneath the road surface, leads you to the top of the arch - 216 meters above the Bloukrans River, Then all that is left are a few final instructions by highly experienced staff, hopping to the edge, the countdown and off you go! Bloukrans pendulum bungi technology ensures the smoothest, most comfortable bungi jump possible. The Bloukrans Bungi Jump surpasses the position previously held by the Victoria Falls as the highest bungi in the world. The Bloukrans bridge is 216 m high and the jump is approximately 160 metres. The second drop, after the first bounce, is said to be higher than the second biggest bungi jump in the world. So you get two thrills for the price of one. The Flying Fox is a 200 m cable slide (foofie slide) out onto the archway of the bridge. One could also walk along a spectacular and specially designed catwalk to the top of the arch from where you look out over the Gorge to the mountains and the sea in the distance.
