The small village of Mid Illovo in KZN consists of a Spar, a Police Station, a bottle store, a small filling station and a few houses. The Natal Midlands has plentiful water, farmland, towns, a wonderful arts and crafts route, rivers, lakes, dams and waterfalls, green pastures, hills and forests, the Drakensberg, the Midlands Meander, Howick Falls, Albert Falls Dam Nature Reserve and the Kamberg Nature Reserve. Go for hiking, visit the coffee shops, art galleries, guest houses, cheese farms, trout farms, and even potters, weavers and painters.
