“The Lufafa river is a tributary of the Mkomazi river in Natal. It rises N/W of Ixopo and meets the Mkomazi 15 km south of Richmond. The name is of Zulu origin and means ‘at the cleft’, referring to a gorge through which it flows.” - Chris Smit, 2024/08/17
