The Botanical Gardens in Pietermaritzburg provide a wide array of plant species, ranging from traditional healing muthi's used by the Zulu to beautiful Northern Hemisphere varieties. Over 150 bird species have also flocked after the beautiful surrounds and can be seen on several walking trails as well as a popular guided tour. Other facilities include a nursery and restaurant.
