Archaeological Site Red Dunes

Home to a Zulu family in the 1800s, the area became severely overgrazed by cattle, and subsequent winds stripped the land bare, creating this "man-made" desert. Many archeological remains from the Zulu can be found in the area, and the dunes are now enclosed in the Red Dunes Nature Reserve, that was established in 2015. (Oct-24)
