Battle of Vaalkrans Memorial was between 5 to 7 February 1900. Situated on a private property, a guide would be recommended to enhance the experience when visiting the site, as the tour would also be informative. The battlefield was the fourth unsuccessful battle by Gen. Buller to relieve Ladysmith. Visit to the site must be arranged with Siege Museum in Ladysmith as permission is also to be sought from the owner of the farm to climb the hill.
