The 2 relatively small sister reserves is bordered by the rural areas of the Transkei, and separated by the Mbashe River situated in the central Wild Coast. Dwesa Nature Reserve is the bigger of the two and situated in the Western side, with accommodation offered in Chalets or campsites, and then the game lodge in Idutywa which you can contact at +27 (0)47 499 0020. Cwebe is a relatively newly established reserve, and has a beautiful sandy beach stretches out to the north. Only accommodation available here is the Haven Hotel. The primary purpose of Dwesa nature reserve is the conservation of unique biodiversity of the coastal forests, grasslands and marine protected area. Day visitors pay a conservation fee. (Jul-15)
