Waterfall Phiphidi Falls

The Phiphidi Waterfall is situated at the foothills of the Soutpansberg (Dzwaini) in the Limpopo Province. The Venda Bantustan government decided in the 1980's to develop the Phiphidi Waterfall as a tourist destination, by building roads and installing public restrooms and picnic areas, surrounded by a perimeter fence. It was done with the approval of the local tribal headman, a strong supporter of economic development.
