Directions

Mokopane/Potgietersrus is 2.5hours north of Johannesburg past Pretoria towards Polokwane/Pietersburg. Get on the N1 to Polokwane/Pietersburg after Midrand then just keep going through all the little towns until you get to the Nyl Plaza with signs to Mokopane/Potgietersrus. Toll gates amount to around R60 each way. If you're coming from Johannesburg/Pretoria direction…you should turn off at the Nyl Plaza keeping to the left lane, which is the offramp or slipway to Mokopane. It clearly indicates 'Mokopane'. Turn LEFT at the end of the offramp at the T-Junction (away from town centre) and then it's literally the first farm on the right (Jaagbaan is the next one along on the right side). Look for 'Moorddrift Dairy'. Once you're on the farm, you'll drive up to a guarded gate. Sign the book and ask where to for Nyl River Bush Camp. It's to the right after the gate and down towards the Nyl River.

“What a super place. Conveniently situated alongside R101 just south of Mokopane, a working dairy fronts a large game farm with a wonderful backdrop of hills (worth a climb) and hosted by the excellent Ken & Tersia, the camp istself over looks the Nyl River.
