Sandton City Church was initially established by Peter and Nicola Munnings, members of the New Covenant Ministries International (NCMI) team and then-elders at Capital City Church in Pretoria in 2004, then it was named the Sandton City Church (SCC). This became a Christian worship centre which to date is being led by Paul and Minda Nichols. The church falls under the Anglican denominations. There are community groups which aim to encourage and uplift the community, women's events are held, SCC kids and giving programs. .
