Caravan parks and waterfront campsites. Guests can have beach walks, swim and enjoy fishing.
In the month of April 2021 this campsite was given a revamp.
The old ablutions are in the process of being renovated. These ablution blocks will be fully operational by November 2022.
Owners advised that they currently have electricity and water on each campsite (and if there is no water, we will plan to get water to our campers).
They run a pub and restaurant on the property.
There are no chalets.
The 13km stretch of gravel road have been upgraded tremendously and we are currently sporting a 5km stretch of tarred road leading away from Hamburg. We are all looking forward to have the road tarred the entire 13km, that will make easy access for any type of vehicle.

“When the new owners took the Hamburg Caravan Park over after it has been left stripped of all it's glory and it's dignity, it took some doing getting it looking and feeling the beautiful place it's supposed to be and what it is now once again. In the month of April 2021 the camp site was being given a very nice facelift including the ablution facilities that's been upgraded and are very clean and tidy. Decks have been added to the veranda and it accommodate more people and at the same time give you the open air feeling whilest enjoying the spectacular sunsets we are blessed with. The old unused ablutions are in the process of being renovated and being made functional again after 15+ years of being left unused and unattended. These ablution block will be fully operational by November and the campers close to them will have the full use of clean ablutions and nice warm showers. The 13km stretch of gravel road have been upgraded tremendously and we are currently sporting a 5km stretch of tarred road leading away from Hamburg. We are all looking forward to have the road tarred the entire 13km, that will make easy access for any type of vehicle. We are living in a well known good fishing area with a wide selection of fish in our beautiful Keiskamma River running into the Indian Ocean. We are currently very proud of our little big Caravan Park and more and more people that used to stay away, are returning to see what all the fuss is about. Come and give us a visit and leave with a very satisfying feeling in your heart and soul.” - Celia Vorster, 2022/07/05
“Good day. Drove all the way Friday 23 April to view this Camp site. On arrival my husband and I got told that the owner is in East London. There is a very old man with a old woman sitting on the porch and they told us that monthly accommodation for caravan camping isnt allowed at this place. The woman said she will talk to the owner and get back to us. Saturday 24 Apr 2021 It is 07:04 and not a soul contacted us........... We drove through to Port Alfred and found a place for us. I guess with the terrible road leading to this place and paying R18 for a 220ml can of cold drink this place doesnt need the money. Drove past the white deserted empty amblition with no windows and really think that our money is not welcome at this place.” - Barend Lesage, 2021/05/03
