Magotho is the only one of the 3 Kwai Development Trust Camps that's open to the public, the other 2 are tour operator sites.
This is a large camping area.
There are ablution facilities now, now with hot water too, solar dependent. Each stand has a concrete fire pit and ours also had a braai built in brick. There is a central deposit cage for rubbish.
There is a reception office at the camp now, built right in the front on one of the old sites on the Kwai River. The staff allocate sites, receive fees and sell firewood.

Travellers reported that during December 2013 they had lots of gnats about in this camp, which made things somewhat unpleasant, although this is also a recommended campsite by travellers to this area.
The view from some sites across the floodplains is a huge redeeming factor.
