Ubumanzi is a great nature destination situated just two and a half hours from Gauteng. It is located in the malaria free Waterberg Biosphere and is teeming with game.
Knowledgeable guides are available to accompany you on game drives if you so desire and they have a wealth of stories to tell. The 4x4 trail can be divided loosely into three trails of which one of them is suitable for 4x2 and 'soft-roader' type vehicles. The other two have sections where care needs to be taken.
Ubumanzi Lodge offers luxurious fully serviced accommodation. The lodge rooms are comfortable and tastefully decorated with en-suite facilities. Excellent meals are served in the lapa and guests can socialise around the fire in the boma. The bush camp provides basic accommodation in two log huts which will sleep eight. Camping is also allowed here. Facilities at the bush camp are rustic but very pleasant. Conference facilities are also available.
