This World Heritage Site, previously known as the Vhembe Dongola National Park, is situated on the Limpopo and Shashe Rivers, on both Zimbabwean, South African and Botswana soil. Hosting the 'Lost City' of this area and the famous Golden Rhino, it is also the scene for the Limpopo-Shashe Transfrontier Area, making it the last protected area of the Limpopo Riverine Forest.
The area experience warm temperatures, with summer very hot, but early mornings and afternoons during this time have bearable temperatures ideal for game drives. In winter the temperatures are mild and have little rainfall. No Motorbikes allowed because of dangerous wildlife. (Dec-11).
