The Downs Nature Reserve forms a part of this park, which is within the Drakensberg Mountain Range and borders the Wolkberg Wilderness Area. Lekgalameetse means 'Place of much water'. The reserve have dense indigenous forest where each self catering area is tucked. Waterfall with clean sparkling water are scattered throughout the reserve.
