The small town of Cullinan is situated in Dinokeng, 30km East of Pretoria within the Gauteng Province of South Africa. The development of the town was a result of the beginning of Diamonds mining in the early 1990s. Up to today some of the corrugated iron mine workers’ houses, offices and churches still stands. The street is lined up by beautiful Oak and Jacaranda trees, with some of the museums and historical building on the main road. Founded in 1902 and named for the founder of the Premier Diamond Mine, Sir Thomas Major Culminant. The town has a typical rural setting with farmers as the driving force of the town economic. The Cullinan Diamond mining also contributes to the town economics’ growth selling the famous rare blue diamonds.
