Kamembe is located 6.3 km outside of Cyangugu city, south-west of Rwanda. This small town is found right on the bored of the Democratic Republic of Congo. The Kamembe fishing site is located near the Rusizi River, 3 km from the Kamembe city center. Tourism activities such as fishing experiences and Lake Kivu island boat tours, can be enjoyed on this site. Kamembe International Airport is located in the town, and receives weekly flights from Kigali.The airport receives others flights from Tanzania, Uganda and the Democratic Republic of Congo.
