Big bend lies on the Lusufu river banks within the Lubombo region of Swaziland. The town is well known for the sugar plantations and cattle ranching. The name of this town was derived because of the location of the town, on the big bend of the Usuthu river where it meets the Lubombo mountains. Big bend is situated an hours drive to the Lavumisa border post of Swaziland with South Africa. (Apr-14).
