Island Mumbo Island

Mumbo Island is situated in Lake Malawi, about 10km from Cape Maclear. The small island, only 1km in diameter, offers pristine deserted beaches, kayaking, snorkelling and swimming in the warm, clear water, or scuba diving in what is considered to be one of the best fresh water dive sites in the world. Hiking trails meander across the island through the indigenous Miambo forest. The island is reached by boat from Kayak Africa on the main land of Cape Maclear.
