Monate is home to rhino, buffalo, hippo, crocodiles, giraffes, zebra, wildebeest, brown hyena, a variety of antelope and are part of a cheetah rehabilitation project. Take the N1 highway to Polokwane (Pietersburg). Take the Kranskop Toll Plaza exit to Nylstroom, at the top of the off-ramp turn right to Marble Hall. R33 Proceed with this road for approximately 17km until you reach the Sandfontein turn off on your left. (This is a gravel road). BEWARE OF THE POTHOLES!!! Continue with this road for 4km until you reach an intersection. Turn right into Boekenhout Road. Proceed for 10.3km until you reach the Monate Game Lodge gate on your right. Note that the maximum speed limit on our property is 30km/h. (You will see Monate Game Lodge signs along the way and at every turn off) Have a safe trip!

Modimolle (previously Nylstroom) is a town located near the southern edge of the Waterberg Massif in Limpopo province, South Africa. It is a medium sized town that focuses primarily on agriculture and farming (citrus, grapes and cattle) as well as wildlife and tourism. Nylstroom/Modimolle is also located approximately 135 kilometres north of Pretoria, South Africa's de facto capital city.
