The Resort is situated on the banks of Gariep Dam, the largest dam in South Africa and bordering the Gariep Dam Nature Reserve, home to many species of antelope and the Cape Mountain Zebra.

Accommodation at Gariep, A Forever Resort consists of two or three bedroom chalets, 12 dam-view one or two bedroom chalets and 12 harbour-view one or two bedroom chalets. The chalets have en suite bathrooms with a bath and separate shower, large flat screen TV with DSTV channels in the lounge, a fully equipped self catering kitchen with a stove, microwave and toaster. There is a braai area and covered parking. There is also a restaurant onsite which can accommodate up to 150 people and there is an outside deck as well.
